Phone scammers are at it again!!!.

I got a call today and yesterday to my cell phone from 519-803-5520. It was a recorded message that said, they were calling from Service Canada about my social insurance number and to avoid legal charges, to dial #1. So just for fun I dialed #1 and some dude got on the line and started to ask me for my social insurance number. I told him he was full of @#$% and told him I was going to report them to the police.

So please, if you get a call that says they are from Service Canada or any government agency, hang up the phone. They are scammers. The Canadian government will never ever call you. They will send you a letter or email if you have access to your account online. Never ever talk to a person or answer any questions.

Block that number from your cell phone, if they call you.

Keep safe and keep your personal information safe!.

Hello members,

I have created a new work request email: whcrepairs@gmail.com For now I will forward any emails sent to the old work request email.

If you have a work request, please email it to the email address above. Please note that we have a contractor in on Fridays only, to tend to non-urgent work requests.

We are still working on finding a suitable maintenance person to work on Thursdays and Fridays

If you have an emergency, such as plumbing or heat issues, please see Sarah in unit 11 or Laurie in unit 1.

If you have a life safety emergency please call 9-1-1.

All other emails not related to a work requests, can continue to go to wyndhamhillcoop@gmail.com

Beware Scammers

Today in the co-op there is a scammer going door to door with fake information regarding a Ontario energy rebate, stated as a CERB. Please be aware the ontario energy board and several of the companies (alectra and embridge) have stated no affiliation with door to door individuals and that all actual information is on their webpage or the ontario energy board webpage. Please be aware avoid giving out personal information.
